IPAN-SoTLAN Conformance Systems Limited is the first indigenous and internationally accredited Persons’ Certification Body (PCB) in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. It was incorporated as a company limited by shares (RC 1315173) on February 12, 2016 and commenced operations in 2017.
It is owned by the public – private partnership of Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN) – the Regulatory Body for Public Analysts in Nigeria and the Society of Testing Laboratory Analysts of Nigeria (SoTLAN) – the Professional Association for Public Analysts. IPAN-SoTLAN is a distinct legal separate entity under the analytical laboratory analysis sector in Nigeria. It is an independent, self-governing, credentialing organization that provides competency certification in the field of analytical laboratory analysis.
IPAN-SoTLAN operates in accordance with International Standard – ISO/IEC 17024:2012 (Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons) and its Certification Schemes are internationally recognized and accredited by International Accreditation Service, Inc. (IAS), USA.
