Post-Examination

Examination Results

Examination results are released by IPAN-SoTLAN directly to candidates via their e-mail addresses in the form of an official score report. Score reports list the candidate’s name, CIN, score, and a pass/fail indication.

To protect privacy and security, official results will not be released via telephone or facsimile. The names of candidates who passed certification examination will be posted to the IPAN-SoTLAN website with the year of their most recent certification. Questions regarding examination reports should be addressed to IPAN-SoTLAN staff at examination@ipan-sotlancb.com.

Successful Candidates

Examination candidates who receive passing scores on their examinations are automatically considered IPAN-SoTLAN Certified in that relevant area of competency. Newly certified individuals are issued a certificate displaying their new designation in recognition of their accomplishment. The names of all newly certified persons are added to the IPAN-SoTLAN website after results have been distributed.

Certificates

Every candidate that passed the certification exam will receive a personalized certificate verifying his/her certification. IPAN-SoTLAN will use the name of candidates as they appear on his or her application when printing the certificate. Candidates will be surcharged for issuance of duplicate or replacement certificates.

Re-sitting for the Examination

IPAN-SoTLAN’s desire is that candidates will pass their examination at the first siting. If not, candidates can resit for the examination. To be eligible to resist, candidates must schedule the new examination within the same year (i.e. at the next examination date). If a candidate wants to resit more than a year after his/her original examination date, the candidate will have to reapply and pay the applicable application form and examination fees. Discounted examination fees are available for candidates who choose to resit the examination.

Request for Change of Name

All IPAN-SoTLAN examination candidates receive official notices addressed to the name that appears on their application. Certificates would be issued to candidates who were successful at the examination using the candidate’s name as it appears on their application. Requests for changes to the name on all certificates will not be honored unless the name is misspelled.

IPAN-SoTLAN will only make changes to an examination candidate’s name under the following circumstances:

  1. Significant error in the spelling or display of the candidate’s name is cited in the database
  2. Candidate reports a recent change in name due to marriage or divorce prior to the examination
  3. Candidate indicates that their name has changed on an examination application when recertifying or retaking the examination.
